Artist's Description
An antique map showing a bird's eye view of Sandwich Village, Barnstable County, Massachusetts, looking west. Sandwich is the oldest town on Cape Cod. This detailed, pictorial map from the public domain was drawn and published in 1884 by A.F.Poole of Brockton, Massachusetts and lithography is by Boston based cartographer George H Walker. An index list below the map shows the position of public buildings, landmarks, various stores and business premises and churches in the area at the time. This reproduction map has been converted to nostalgic sepia tone and has hand blended textures.
